Board Vacancy Available Immediately
The East Umatilla Fire and Rescue Board of Directors has a vacancy in position 5 and in accordance with ORS 198.320 will begin accepting Letters of Interest until the position is filled.
Eligibility:
Candidates must be registered voters who reside or own property within the EUFR district boundaries.
Candidates will be required to attend the public sessions held on the third Thursday of each month at Station 61 in Weston, Oregon if appointed to the position.
Interested eligible residents should submit a letter of interest. These can be submitted directly to the Board at regular scheduled meetings or dropped off at Station 61 during business hours for Board review.
This is a Mid-term Vacancy - Under Oregon law (e.g., ORS 198.320 for special districts), a vacancy in an elected office is filled by appointment by a majority of the remaining governing body members and will be subject to May Elections before becoming an Elected Member.
